From the Dinner Table on Tuesday, September 29

On the left is miso soup made with some daikon I had left in the freezer and chopped fried tofu (94 yen, 20% off).

In the middle is discounted mackerel simmered with umeboshi pickled plum (229 yen, half price). I simmered it together with white leek (119 yen) and added some ginger as well.

On the right is the leftover mapo tofu with eggplant and green pepper from yesterday, made with tofu, eggplant, green pepper, Cook Do mapo tofu seasoning sauce, and ground pork. I also added garlic paste and Sichuan peppercorn.

Today’s ingredient cost was 442 yen.
