引き続き、USシリーズです。乗り換え地のLAから日本戦のあるテキサス・ダラス近郊のNorth Richland Hillsの民泊施設に移動しております。
左は日本から持っていた残っていた顆粒の味噌汁です。

中はチキン照り焼き丼（$6.54）です。レンチンすればOKの安直メニューです(^-^;。でも日本のチキン照り焼きに比べてめちゃくちゃ甘いのであまり健康的ではないです(笑)。ご飯も鶏肉の下にあります。まぁまぁのお米かな？

右はカプレーゼもどきです(笑)。バジル（$1.78）はちみつの甘い風味としっとりとした食感が特徴の七面鳥（ターキー）のハム（$0.92）スライスチーズ（$1.67）を手でちぎり、台所にあった塩と胡椒でいただきます。バジルが新鮮で美味しかった。

Continuing with my U.S. food series!
After landing in Los Angeles, I travelled to North Richland Hills, a suburb of Dallas, Texas, where I stayed in an Airbnb before attending Japan’s FIFA World Cup match.
On the left is an instant miso soup that I brought with me from Japan.
In the middle is a Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl (US$6.54). It was another quick and easy meal that only needed to be heated in the microwave (^-^;). Compared with Japanese teriyaki chicken, however, it was **much sweeter**, so I wouldn’t call it particularly healthy (laugh). The rice is hidden underneath the chicken. It wasn’t authentic Japanese rice, but it was reasonably good.
On the right is my own version of a Caprese salad (laugh). I combined fresh basil (US$1.78), sliced turkey ham (US$0.92), which had a pleasantly sweet, honey-like flavour and a moist texture, and sliced cheese (US$1.67), tearing everything into bite-sized pieces by hand. I simply seasoned it with salt and black pepper that were available in the kitchen. The basil was especially fresh and delicious.
Today’s food expense came to US$10.91 (approximately ¥1,745).
*In Texas, grocery food items are exempt from sales tax, so no tax was added to this purchase.*
