6月22日(月)からFIFAワールドカップ観戦のため、渡米し、ロサンジェルス経由でダラスまで行っておりました。
本日は、22日(月)US・ロサンゼルス到着後、スーパーで購入した夕食です。
左は電子レンジで4分温めるだけのバルバコア（Barbacoa/$10.99）です。メキシコ風のほぐし牛肉の煮込み料理ですね。日本の食パンよりはカットが薄いが横に大きい食パン（$1.99）を添えていただきました。さすが本場だけあって、お肉がとても柔らかく、スパイスも程よく効いていて美味しかったです(^^)v。

右はデザート代わりのブラックベリー($2.89)です。日本ではあまり見かけませんが、USでは比較的手頃な価格で売られていました。

長時間のフライト後だったので、調理不要でレンチンだけという実にありがたい夕食でした(笑)。
スーパーのデリ売り場を見ているだけでも、日本との違いがよく分かります。メキシコ料理の存在感が大きいのは、やはりロサンゼルスならではですね(^^)v。
本日のかかった食材費は$15.37（約2,459円）でございました。

From the Dinner Table on Monday, June 22 – Los Angeles, USA 🇺🇸
From Monday, June 22, I travelled to the United States to attend my sixth FIFA World Cup as an on-site spectator. I flew via Los Angeles before continuing to Dallas, Texas.
Today’s dinner was purchased at a supermarket shortly after arriving in Los Angeles.
On the left is Barbacoa (US$10.99), a Mexican-style slow-cooked shredded beef dish that only needed four minutes in the microwave. I enjoyed it with a loaf of sliced bread (US$1.99), whose slices were thinner but larger than those of typical Japanese sandwich bread. As you would expect in Southern California, the beef was incredibly tender, and the spices were flavorful without being overpowering. It was absolutely delicious (^^)v.
On the right are fresh blackberries (US$2.89) for dessert. They are not very common in Japan, but in the United States they are available at a fairly reasonable price.
After such a long flight, it was wonderful to have a meal that required nothing more than heating it in the microwave (laugh).
Even browsing the supermarket’s deli section gives you a real sense of how different American food culture is from Japan’s. The strong presence of Mexican cuisine is something that feels uniquely Southern Californian—and especially Los Angeles (^^)v.
Today’s food expense came to US$15.37 (approximately ¥2,459).
