On the left is miso soup made with discounted clams (199 yen, half price).

In the middle is tempura made with discounted Spanish mackerel milt (199 yen, half price). I also added deep-fried shishito peppers (158 yen).

On the right is leftover ankake sauce with turnips and crab sticks from yesterday. It had a very gentle and comforting flavour.

Today’s ingredient cost was 556 yen.
